Water Baby

We were able to go to the beach on Saturday with our family for some Father's Day fun. Sadie LOVES the beach, or any water for that matter. We had so much fun in San Diego. She goes right into the water and loves to swim around. She gets a little too confident when she has a life vest on. We spent the day swimming and building sandcastles. She also enjoyed going on the waverunner with Aaron.

Again, with her floaties on, she has no fear. She wakes up almost every morning and asks to go to the beach. We have a small kiddy pool in the backyard, but it just doesn't satisfy her.

It's all about the sand sun and surf for our little water baby!

"I Floop!"

Sadie has recently learned to do a somersault on her own! We call it a flip, she calls it a "floop". She's constantly on her head giggling and trying to "floop". There's no longer a point in fixing her hair in the mornings.

Bye Bye Spencer

Sadie's little best friend Spencer has moved away to Texas. We're so sad. I think I am more upset about it than her. They left at the beginning of the month, but Sadie is just now figuring out that he is not around. She keeps asking for him to come play or to come swim with her. Every time she goes to Nursery, she asks where he is. She can't even begin to understand that he has moved away, so I just keep telling her that he can't come play. She now carries his picture around with her all day long. We love Spencer and he will always be her first little friend!

My Child Is A Genius

I know some of you haven't seen Sadie in a while. She is getting so big and so smart. I know, everyone thinks their child is a genius, but she never ceases to amaze Aaron and I. Everyday she says something new, and we'll think, where did she learn that? She can count to 20 and knows her ABC's. She can even spell her own name if you ask her. She knows all her colors and if she doesn't, she'll demand "tell me!". Being a mom to Sadie is even more amazing that I could have ever imagined. We have our down days when she becomes a typical two year old, as I'm sure many do, but the good days make it all worth it.

All is well here in Vic, or at least as well as can be expected up here in the high desert. It's getting hot, but we're doing our best to keep cool! Supposed to be 105 tomorrow. YIKES!
